Moeller Music Center Scholarship

The Moeller Music Education Scholarship was established by Larry D. Fullenkamp in an effort to encourage individuals to pursue education and careers in instrumental music school education.

Named for a local retail music business in southwest Ohio, the scholarship is available to high school seniors from the Ohio Music Education Association’s (OMEA) District 13 including Warren County students, and who intend to major in instrumental music school education.  An appropriate applicant is a student with a desire to pursue an instrumental music teaching career in a school system after graduation from college.

Except where noted, herein, the application guidelines given in the Arts Scholarship for High School Seniors Application Guidelines apply.

In addition to following the Application Guidelines outlined in the Arts Scholarship for High School Seniors, the applicant must follow Moeller Music Requirements and submit the material as one packet.

Moeller Music Application Requirements:

The statement given in the Supplemental Materials section of the Arts Scholarship for High School Seniors Application Guidelines must address:

1)       Why the applicant feels they are qualified to be a recipient of the Moeller Music Education Scholarship.

2)       What the applicant plans for the next five years, including career choice, and plans to prepare for that career.

3)       What the applicant’s career interests are in music education and expectations from the education that the scholarship will help provide.

Additionally, one of the letters of support given in the Arts Scholarship for High School Seniors Application Guidelines must be from the applicant’s high school instrumental, large group instructor.
